MAERSK formed after Quadrant. Quadrant exlpored the underside of
the detroit electronic scene. Base elements, digital noise, lush
sound environs and Found Sound merge to form structure. After a
series of small independent Japan Only releases and a release on
Richie Hawtin's "Decks, Efx & 909 Mix Compilation" (Minus
Records/Mute) MAERSK became quadrants fraternal twin. "MAERSK HAVE
PERFORMED IN MANY DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS. THEY WELCOME THE
OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS. CONCEPTS OF WAVE
PROGRESSIONS AND EVOLUTIONS, THAT VARY IN MANY DEGREES OF
COMPLEXITY. BUILDING STRUCTURE THROUGH THE SYNCOPATION OF INTEGRAL
COMPONENTS, SUCH AS DUB ECHO, TRUE RESONANCE AND TYPE PERCUSSION.
